President Larry Molina called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.  Those also present for quorum being, Mickey Berk, Joan Casagrande, Ira Josephson, Nancy Frank, Dennis Levin, and Ted Scatcherd

Absent: None

Management: Lou Brawer

Frank, Weinberg and Black PA – Attorney Steve Weinberg

Mr. Molina opened the meeting by announcing that the purpose of this workshop was to talk about the proposal from management for a new gate access control system.

Mr. Molina turned the floor over to Mr. Brawer who explained what the purpose of this system was and why management felt it necessary to replace the current system. His comments dealt with the age of the system, the support that was available through the vendor, and the fact that the current state of the art computers will not run the program because their processors run too fast.

Mr. Molina then introduced Mr. Rob Belline, Vice President of Technologies for SafeHouse Systems. Mr. Belline then took the floor and did a Power Point presentation on the features of the software and explained how this system would benefit Eagle Trace.

After Mr. Belline completed his presentation the floor was opened to questions from both Board members and residents.

Besides questions about the system residents voiced concern about the present “clicker” system. Mr. Brawer explained that the present “clickers” were not being replaced and that the “clickers” were a separate system that at the present time is not being changed.

The other major concerned voiced by residents was the problem with tailgating. The Board instructed Mr. Brawer to again investigate modifications that can be made to the gates to prevent this for happening.

A MOTION was made by Mr. Scatcherd and seconded by Mr. Levin to have our attorney start working out the contract with SafeHouse Systems for the purchase of the access control system and to bring the contract back to the Board for ratification. MOTION PASSED 7 YES 0 NO.

ADJOURNMENT
